today...

in my teaching students with disabilities class we had an assignment to follow a blog that deals with parenting children with disabilities. we were suppose to follow it for a month, and im just starting, but thats a whole different story. i came across a blog about a mother who has a child with Autism. i read the introduction story about the birth of her son up to his diagnosis. i dont know too much about autism, nor understand it fully, but her story was amazing. towards the end she described how much she loved her son and although he has autism he is still an amazing individual. She said that the best think about her son is that he lives for today. that really hit me.

"The only way to keep from being overwhelmed is to just deal with Today. To trust that God has made Chandler, and all of us, just the way he wanted us to be, and do the best we can for Today. "
best advice ive heard in awhile.
