well thats a wrap.

i havent blogged in almost a month.
since my birthday.
i hate not blogging.
i hate that i havent been automatically thinking about my life in blog posts.
i hate that while im out doing things, im not already processing/ writing the blog post in my head whilst im still doing said activity.
i hate that i have taking almost zero pictures in the last month.
i hate that i havent gone out of town in..i almost dont want to admit it...months.
and although none of this is exciting, and im almost blogging just to blog and since I also have almost forsaken my personal journal {its actually a big disappoint in my life}, here is a little wrap up of my life the past month:

1. my bachelor viewing parties have continued. although the group size has gone down, i think the quality has gone up. ive even allowed some boys to join {gasp! as i found out that they secretly watch it together. i would much rather them come watch with us then two boys watch it together. in secret...} but seriously, courtney!? ben your an idiot and you deserve that robotic demon of a woman. i really hope you choose her.

2. I went to the Griffith Observatory a few weeks ago with some good company. Havent been in...I dont know how long. Its really cool since they redid a few things. I liked learning about the planets, seeing how much i weigh on each, and how long it takes Pluto to circle the sun {its like over 100 years, whaaaat!?}

3. I had a really good Valentines Day. Im not not a fan of V Day. its hard for me to get super amped when its more about love and presents {which i now realize i suck at both} and not dancing. Although I did venture to three V Day themed dances in the past three weeks. On Tuesday, Rudy came to have lunch with me and surprised me BIG. he walked into my office with some balloons, a present and a Cafe Rio sack. He hates Rio and its almost an hour away in Manhattan Beach. He sneakily asked me last week what I get there just so he would know what to order. When I saw that bag I literally gasped, put my hands over my mouth and repeated "Is this for reals?" over and over again. Who knew a pork tostada would make me so happy! {ok well i did know that actually.}

4. I havent been running at all lately. Boo. I seem to always have an excuse ready. And its exactly two months till go time for Ragnar.

5. Laura and Matt moved to Simi Valley over the weekend. Granted its only like 15 minutes of where we live but still 10 minutes too far. I already miss the luxury of being able to stop by their house for a short trip to say hello on my way home from work. Or crashing their dinner before I head to FHE. They moved on Saturday and while we were at the new casa I was on Lyla duty. I felt so not helpful since I wasnt unpacking and I was just holding a baby. But theres not too many things better than playing with her for three hours and then rocking her to sleep and holding a sleeping baby for an hour.

6. And last but not least {If anyone is still reading} I continue to still have a mid-mid life crisis. The pain of not knowing what to do in life, where to live and happiness in general, etc... never goes away and always gets old. With the combination of it being the wrong time of the month, having a really bad cold, and crying most nights...it was just that, a really bad combination. And I aint looking for no pity parties here, but its been a rough couple of weeks. Weeks where I need to depend on my prayers to get my through it and have that faith and trust that I always talk about in my Sunday School lessons, but when you are scared for either answer that comes..well its just that. Its scary.

and well, there you have.

cue OC theme song.

I have developed somewhat of a pattern in my life from the last two Saturdays.
Trips to Orange County
Dinner at Cafe Rio.
Both sound pretty good to me.

My cousin Brooke was in town visiting her sister Jenny for the weekend. I havent seen Brookie or Jen and her fam since October at Brooke's wedding. Brooke lives in Boston so there are limited opportunities to have  family reunions with her. Thankfully she emailed us about getting together and my dad and I had a chance to meet up for dinner. At Cafe Rio, nonetheless.

I absolutely love spending time with family.
It was great to catch up with Brooke and get the scoop on married life. Brooke is my idol when it comes to marriage, as she shows that it is perfectly ok to get married at 25 and up. Thanks Brookie! And great to see Jen & Kimball and their cute kids.
Love those Svendsen girls!

And just the past Saturday I drove back to OC to hang out with Taylor. And of course I insisted on another Cafe Rio stop for dinner.
matching teees.
Taylor loved my outfit so much he wanted to match! Now thats a compliment.

Tay and I just chilled all weekend long together. And we loved it. We got all nostalgic on each other and reminisced about our long ago college days and even felt like we were living the Lanai all over again. Just hanging out together and watching some TV.
Taylor summed it perfectly as he said:
 we're all the entertainment we need!
true story tay!
