the bachelor brings people together.

The bachelor is all about finding love, making connections and breaking down walls. 

Although highly unsuccessful at the above, the bachelor is truly successful in bringing friendships together. 

It doesnt matter how ridiculous the show gets, I wouldnt think twice to say that every girl in America watches the show. 

Monday nights are sacred. 

Through the years I can always recall the girls I gathered around with to watch the show, it alway makes it more fun to watch with friends. 

When I moved to California, I was a little sad because I didnt think I had anyone to watch the show with. 

I wrote about that bachelor season here. And some of my thoughts are the same. 

I slowly started inviting some girls over to watch the show. 

Some had never really seen it before, but who doesnt love some good girl drama and love? 

it easily became a commonality between me and my new friends. 

And before I knew it, about 13 girls gathered at my house each week to watch the show. 

It was the highlight of my week. 

And probably one of my most fondest memories will living my LA life. 

I will argue the case that our Bachelor viewing parties was one of the main things that brought that group of friends together. 

I got to know these girls so much better as we bonded every Monday. 

It really helped bring us together and solidified the amazing group of friends that I had. 

We laughed, cried and screamed together all season long. 

Those were great memories. 

And now, I believe the bachelor has done it again. 

I was no Sean fan, but I will watch The Bachelor till the day I die. 

{Or the sad day when they realize no one actually gets married and it gets cancelled.}

So when the season was starting up in January I knew it was time again to try my hand at the Bachelor parties. 

Living in SLC has been a little bit more difficult for me with making friends. Its just a different style of living. 

But the Sunday before and even at FHE that Monday, I invited a few girls to come watch the show. 

I didn't get as nearly as many girls to come watch, but had the same results. 

Abby, Aubry, Chelsey and I started watching it together each week. 

And bonded each episode. 

We passed our ice cream carton back and forth numerous times this season and probably laughed more from Aubry's hilarious commentary each week than the actual show. 

Making friends with these girls this year has been such a blessing and came at a time when I think we all kinda needed it the most. 

I am grateful that the Bachelor keeps creating my friendships for me.

We hate when we go more than a day without seeing each other and LOVE that we live just blocks away and are now in a desperate need to find something to look forward to each week.

LA Dawg: Vicious Dogs

I love that my hot dog outings always revolve around much needed girls nights. 

We can chat and laugh and bond over some good hot dogs. 

This past week we hit up Vicious Dogs.

Located in North Hollywood by the metro station and conveniently across the street from Lillie's office. 

My date night was with my favorite gals Lillie and Christina. 

We were a little overwhelmed with all of the options. 

These places continue to amaze me, how do you come up with that many hot dog ideas!?

I cant really remember the name of what I got, but it was good! 

And there were so many good choices.

Pastrami! Dogitos! Mardi Gras! Mediterranean! 

The best part of it all was the must needed catch up. 

Sadly I missed a photo opp of the three of us. I think we were way too enthralled in our conversation to stop for a photo. 

I dont know what I would do without these girls. 

Its crazy that my best girlfriends and I all have such parallel lives! 

Vicious Dogs definitely gets the stamp of approval! 

LA Dawg: The Slaw Dogs.

Lillie and I were in desperate need for a night out together.

With her landing an awesome new job. And me being ever so busy and out of town. 

It had been weeks since we have had any hang out time. 

and so with that. we did what we do best. 

hot dog date nights. 

Recently the LA Times wrote an article about the boom in gourmet hot dog places. 

please. Lillie and I were on to that a long time ago. We are ahead of the times. Literally. 

However, thanks to their article it gave us a list of new places to check out. 

 per recommendation and convenience we chose to hit

The Slaw Dogs. 

This place did not disappoint. 

It had it all. Starting with an eager beaver {and attractive} of an employee giving us all the great recommendations. 

an amazing and huge menu of fancy and delicious hot dogs

and yummy choice of french fries 

Lillie chose the Mac N' Cheese Dog

you got that right. 

{btw. check out those hoops! so proud of my girl}

mac n cheese. on a hot dog. and it was good. 

I was torn between the pastrami dog {i love pastrami} and the picnic dog. 

I chose the latter. 

potato salad. a pickle. bbq sauce. onion rings.

wait what!? on a dog? yet it was sooo good. 

but beware. sooo messy. 

of course I have no shame and will always refuse utensils for food meant to eat with your hands. 

So far this has been our favorite hot dog place. 

Totally beats out the others in taste and yummy menu options. 

And of course like all of our hot dog dates, Lillie and I successfully sat there for hours. Catching up and chatting and of course constant laughter at how our lives are always so similar. 

so glad i have this girl in my life. 

i love him. on my own.

Three years ago I was in a little place called London. 

We didnt see too many plays (which I regret now) but I was insist on seeing two specific plays.

Phantom of the Opera as it is my childhood love.

And Les Miserables. 

I feel like I was super insist on seeing this play although I knew nothing about it.

 I just knew it was GOOD. and a must see. 

I went with four of my friends but ended up having to sit by myself. Which was not cool because like I said before, I knew nada about the play. And with unexpected and nonstop singing I could never get my head around the play. Leading to a little recap for me during intermission.

Nonetheless I was captivated.

Fast forward to the Summer of Dreams of 09. I worked on my tan all day at the Peaks while I read Les Mis!
And that is when I fell in love.
A story of love, sacrifice and devotion. Such a sweet and yet heart wrenching book but as I closed the last page just smiled and said, I loved that.
However, I was disappointed. I thought I would never be able to see the play again. At least not for a long time.

But alas, I dreamed a dream and it came true!
Les Miserables 25th Anniversary Tour!
No doubt about it that I would be seeing this fabulous play with Lillie. Luckily we convinced Christina to come with us.

Our night started off with dinner in Little Tokyo with Mr. Ramen.

And then literally a race to get to the Ahmanson Theater on time for the show.
We were running a bit late that night. And you know me. I absolutely hate being late. And I was not about to miss any of the show!
I navigated well through the streets of downtown, drove kinda fast, and hyperventilated through the parking lot and sped up the escalators.

Our seats were ideal!

And snapped a few shots before we got in trouble.
The show did not disappoint!

The music was incredible. I got teary eyed and the chills, happy and sad. Just loved it all and really didnt want it to end.
I am obsessed with Les Miserables.
Its my favorite.

The Book. The Play. The Music.
Its been nonstop soundtrack for days!

A Bachelor Party.

there is this show that i absolutely love. 

its called The Bachelor.

and Im obsessed.
Like every girl should be.

and I also reallly want to be on it. 

I have obviously watched a majority of the seasons. 

However, the last couple have been my favorite:

Jason's season in H2 with Ashley and JJ.

Late nights watching Jillian's season in my apartment with AJB.

Snuggling in either my bed or Chanel's bed as we watched Jake's season.

Monday nights at Laura's watching Ali fall in love with Roberto. 

This season I started watching by myself and tried to convince some girls in the ward to watch with me with no avail. 

 I first got Christina hooked, then Lillie and finally Alyssa joined us for what was starting to become a weekly party. 

Before I knew it, each week more and more girls were coming over to watch The Bachelor. 

So when nine girls showed up to watch After the Final Rose, I knew I had to throw a legit party for the Season Finale.

Made some yummy food. 

And of course included some pie for Pi day!

Cant have a Bachelor Party without your own little cocktail party with roses and Martinelli's. 

 Framed photos of the final girls Chantal and Emily were a must.

And before the show started everyone had to make their choice of who Brad was going to pick.

I was beginning to lean towards an Emily selection, but decided to stick with my original guns and choose Chantal.
But Im very happy with Brad's choice!
Im pretty sure we all screamed (as did the rest of America) when we realized he was going to pick Emily.
And I may have been close to tears during Brad's proposal!
Lets hope their relationship lasts!

Best way to celebrate the best show on television.
I will be counting down the days to the parties and the drama of Bachelor Pad and The Bachelorette.
